This palace (mansion) has three floors. On the first floor are several large and spacious rooms with tall and expansive windows, allowing a great capture of light to its interior. These were social spaces used by the family and guests. At one end, we have a glazed semicircular nook, very curious, which is part of the structure of the grand and majestic tower that we can observe more in detail from the outside. Going to the rear, we have a vast space where the old kitchen worked—surrounded by other small spaces used as kitchen support. In a more lateral area, we have a large dining hall. There is still a bathroom in a small corner, which house servants would use. This area of the mansion begs redesign.
Climbing up a majestic and central wooden staircase, we reach the first floor, where the bedrooms for the family and guests are very spacious, with large and impressive doors and windows. The beautiful and original details here are obvious, but unfortunately, they have been degrading, requiring prompt intervention. We have two bathrooms with a bathtub and marble decoration in a frontal area between the bedrooms.
Continuing through another wooden staircase, we reach the second floor, where were located the bedrooms for the employees of the house smaller spaces and less distinguished, but with some good ideas, they can be reconverted into something special, such as bedrooms or something new. This secular building was completed in 1899.
The property includes a land of about 5000m2, completely flat, which well worked and planned can give rise to beautiful and original gardens, which fit the architecture of the mansion and may transport us to ancient and more romantic times.
In general, we can say that this magnificent, very spacious mansion is charming and original, full of potential for renovation, and the interior walls are very high. The windows, too, and the beautifully crafted ceilings, such as the painting on the walls, give a distinctive touch. However, nowadays, since the house has not been inhabited for many years, the degradation begins to be visible and will require a deep fast intervention, both interior and exterior to regain the majestic grandeur and unique charm of this palace, which reminds us, due to its architecture some of the most beautiful and romantic palaces in Sintra.
